What the work involves.
Who this is for
Rural schools, primary health centres, low-income urban wards, and households with no prior internet use.
- 01
Community connectivity points
Broadband or fixed-wireless links at schools, health centres, panchayat offices and libraries, with a trained local steward for each site.
- 02
Device libraries
Refurbished laptops and tablets lent out the way books are, so a family does not need to own a device for a child to practise on one.
- 03
Internet literacy classes
Short, practical courses: government portals, banking safety, spotting fraud, video calls to relatives, finding work.
- 04
Public Wi-Fi in underserved wards
Free access points in dense urban wards where households cannot carry a monthly data cost.
- 05
Site upkeep and repair
A maintained fault line, spare hardware and an annual service visit, so a site that goes down comes back.
