Ways to support

Volunteering

Mentoring, teaching, companion calling and skilled professional help - remote and in person.

Who this is for

Individuals and corporate teams

Best for

  • Mentoring a student or a woman entering tech
  • Weekly companion calling
  • Professional skills - legal, design, audit, translation

The volunteering that helps most is regular and boring: the same mentor for a year, the same weekly call to the same person, a bridge class taught every week for a term. One-off group days are welcome but they are for you more than for us, and we will say so.

Skilled volunteering is the highest-value form. An accessibility audit, a translation, a curriculum review or a year of mentoring is worth far more to us than its cost.

How it works

What actually happens, step by step.

  1. 01

Tell us your skills, location and how much time you can genuinely sustain

  2. 02

We match you to a role and run the screening our child protection policy requires

  3. 03

Induction and training for the role

  4. 04

You start, with a named contact and a review after three months

There is no payment form on this website. Every route ends in a conversation with a person, so nothing is collected from anyone who has not first seen our accounts and had their questions answered. Write to [email protected].

Talk to us

Tell us what you have in mind.

Money, equipment, expertise or time - we will come back with something specific rather than a brochure, and we will tell you if we are not the right organisation for it.
