Food first, in Haryana.
Dollu Foundation is a non-profit registered in Sonipat, Haryana. Our main work is feeding people who cannot afford food: cooked meals and dry-ration kits for families, daily-wage workers, the elderly and anyone who would otherwise go without.
Our other purposes, taken on as funds allow, are children's education, health and medical help, seasonal and emergency relief and community welfare. That work is decided case by case, and recorded the same way as food.
We work only in Haryana. Every rupee that reaches our bank account, and every rupee that leaves it, is to be published on our transparency page, and every time we go out to do the work it goes in the field diary.
Four rules we keep.
They are the reason this site looks the way it does: the figures come from records, not from us.

Publish every bank entry
We import the statements HDFC Bank issues for our account and will publish every entry, in and out, with its date, amount and the balance after it. A statement is accepted only if its entries add up to the bank's own opening and closing balances. The accounts are being reviewed before they go up.

Keep the people who give anonymous
Private individuals appear under a numbered alias such as “Individual #3”, never by name. Phone numbers, UPI IDs and account numbers are never published.

A receipt for spending
Each expense is recorded with who was paid, what for and which purpose it served, with a receipt where we have one. Where it paid for work in the field, it links to that day in the field diary.

Photos of every activity
Each time we go out, the field diary records the date, the place, what was given and to how many people, with photos from the day, and videos where we have them. Location data is removed from photos and videos before they are published, and the people we help are never named.

Dollu Foundation and Dollu Ltd
Dollu Foundation is connected to Dollu Ltd (dollu.com), whose name it shares. The Foundation is a separate non-profit with its own bank account, and this site is about the Foundation's money and work alone.
Whoever the money comes from, it arrives as an entry on the Foundation's bank statement and is to be published like every other entry.

Because people who give to a charity should not have to take its word for where the money went. Publishing the bank's own record, entry by entry, lets anyone see what came in, what went out and what is left, without having to ask us. Our accounts are being reviewed now, and will be published on the transparency page once the review is done.
